Brit Milah (Circumcision)

Circumcision is a sign of the covenant with God, dating back to Abraham.  Jewish boys are circumcised at eight days old in a ceremony that normally happens at home.  To find out more, look at:

There are positive points about a sense of belonging and identity, obedience to God and the Torah etc.  You might want to mention possible anti-semitism, feeling different at school etc.

(c) might be a discussion about whether circumcision is right in this day and age.  There are arguments on both sides, with some people claiming that circumcision has a damaging effect, while others say it can prevent infection.  However, you must focus on the importance of circumcision as a religious duty, and appreciate its symbolic significance.
