The small Star of David shows that the Jews were treated lower than the Nazis.  The candle is the hope of the Jews and even that was locked away by the Nazis. I have produced a kind of jigsaw with the missing piece the Jewish star.  The other pieces symbolise the evil but the Jewish star still shines on. A symblic drawing of Anne Frank in Auschwitz in 1945.

SORROW

WHY?

GIVE ME HOPE

In my poem I have tried to show how they might have felt during the Holocaust. I have written a poem about why the Holocaust happened and how it is affecting me.  I wrote this in the first person as if I was a Jew to add more feeling. A poem telling the story of Anne's life, based on information from books and the Internet.

Amongst the books there is a poem and pictures/symbols.  My poem and symbols are my feelings and what I though the Jews went through.   They portray the pain and cruelty people experienced. A suitcase with the treasures a girl Anne's age would take with her to a camp.  The diary shows the horrors, hopes and fears that she would have gone through at that horrific time. My painting is about Anne Frank's dreams.  The world has different religions in it.  A chain of many different people - black and white - different nationalities.  These are contained within the swastika.  Heaven - Anne.  Hell - Nazis.

This is a painting of the window in Anne's hiding place.  In each panel there is a vision of the holocaust.

Anne stands for the Jews.  I made her out of torn paper to show how the Jews (their lives, culture and religion) were torn apart.
