The Church and the family

This is an important area that can come up in a range of questions. The sort of thing you will be asked is [1998 Q2]:

(a) Describe how and explain why the Church can play an important role in the life of a Christian family. [8]

This question is more about the Church than the family - have a look at the sample answer to 2000 Q2b below for more ideas. For information on the family, try The GCSE RE Site and revise.it. The Tests will check that you've learnt the content, but to PRACTICE exam questions have a go at the following [2000 Q2] - although it is about marriage, it is relevant because it asks about the role of other Christians:

(b) Explain how a Christian couple might find the support of other Christians helpful in keeping their marriage together. [7]
