Gene Therapy
Gene therapy involves changing the genes within a cell, altering them, removing some or adding others, in order to treat an illness.
This can affect just the genes in that person (somatic cell gene therapy) or it can also affect that person's children and future generations (germ line.gene therapy).
Gene therapy is very new, and there are not many examples yet of it being used. However, it is still possible to talk about the benefits and risks of gene therapy, and to ask whether Christians should support research in this area.
