You could fix broken spines, allowing paraplegics to walk again
You could grow transplant organs that are made-to-order
Embryos are the best source of stem cells
Therapeutic cloning gives an exact match with the patient
It is legal in the UK and America
Although there may be risks, this is true of all treatments and medical procedures, and the same laws apply to safeguard patients
People always argue against change in medicine - blood transfusions, organ transplants, IVF - these are now commonly accepted by most people, but were seen as 'un-natural' when they first came about
It should be up to the patient to decide on their treatment, and we shouldn't force our views onto other people
