Kant on Sex

Kant had some un-expected views about sex. Having said that, Aquinas thought that rape was not as bad as masturbation, because at least rape could result in conception. Maybe we're expecting too much if we expect philosophers to be truly objective. Either way, the document below shows want Kant actually said about sex, not what he should have said if he'd objectively applied his own theory!

Kant on sex

The following are tables with aspects of each ethical theory followed by a blank square which students should fill in themselves. At first, students should merely write in how each aspect of the theory applies to abortion (using examples if possible). An example of a filled-in table is Kant and the right to a child. As they become more confident, students can include an evaluation of each theory's responses.
